A couple could be fined for deed compliance violations at their home in The Villages.

The home of William and Addie Johnson at 525 San Pedro Drive in the Village of Rio Grande was the subject of a deed compliance hearing Friday before the Community Development District 1 Board of Supervisors at Savannah Center.

A complaint about the home was received March 17 by Community Standards. Violations including mold on the home and driveway as well as broken lawn ornaments were verified by Community Standards.

The Johnsons purchased the home in 1994 for $92,100. They were the original owners.

Community Standards has made multiple attempts to reach the couple. The phone numbers on file are no longer valid. A voicemail was left with the emergency number on file, but there was no response.

The board gave the Johnsons seven days to remove the mold and five days to pick up the broken lawn ornaments. If the couple fails to do so, fines will be imposed.
