A Wildwood man was arrested for trespassing at the gazebo near City Hall in Sumter County again.
An officer saw 66-year-old Cleve Edmond Hardwick sitting in the gazebo near City Hall at 1:10 p.m. Monday, according to an arrest report from the Wildwood Police Department. He had been trespassed from the gazebo on Aug. 16, 2022, with an indefinite expiration date.

The officer spoke to Hardwick about the situation, and he confirmed he knew he was not allowed on the property. He in fact had multiple guilty charges of trespassing, the report said.
Hardwick was arrested on charge of trespass after warning and transported to the Sumter County Detention Center to be held without bond.
He has been arrested for trespassing at City Hall twice before on Sept. 2022 and July 2016. He also trespassed in his underwear at a rental home in Feb. 2021 and a Save-A-Lot in Sept. 2016. Other offenses include damaging a vehicle in April 2025, twice ripping down a Trump flag in Sept. 2020, and damaging a law enforcement vehicle in Dec. 2016.
