A Villager with a history of intoxicated behavior has landed back behind bars.
Sheldon Scott Engstrom, 62, of the Village of Hammock at Fenney, was arrested Thursday on a warrant charging him with failure to appear.

Engstrom has been scheduled to appear in Sumter County Court on Wednesday to answer to a charge of misusing 911 this past month. In that incident, Engstrom repeatedly called 911 from his home at 3813 Zentko St. Officers were sent to Engstrom’s residence and found him “swaying back and forth” and spotted a large bottle of Fireball Cinnamon Whisky and a pill bottle on his kitchen counter. Engstrom began yelling at them. He used profane language and told the officers to leave. As soon as they left, he dialed 911 again.
Engstom was placed on probation after a 2023 golf cart road rage incident. Engstrom violated his probation when he was arrested in 2024 on a charge of driving under the influence.
