A Wildwood woman was arrested for battery after allegedly punching someone in the nose during a verbal dispute.

Officers responded to a disturbance involving 35-year-old Tyneisha Lakitie Mosby at a residence on Jackson Street at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, March 19, according to an arrest report from the Wildwood Police Department.

A resident advised that she was outside the home when Mosby approached her and started a verbal altercation. The situation escalated when Mosby punched her in the face, after which she fled the area on foot. The resident then began experiencing seizure-like symptoms, so emergency medical services transported her to the emergency room for medical evaluation, the report said.

Three witnesses corroborated this account. One added that the resident tried to disengage from the altercation, while another stated Mosby punched her in the nose. This left the resident with visible bleeding, the report said.

Based on this, the officers tried to find Mosby at her camper on Second Street. They initially spoke to Mosby’s roommate, who advised that Mosby was there in her camper on the back of the property. She agreed to let them inside, walking up to the door and opening it, the report said.

Mosby told her roommate, “Don’t come in here. Don’t ever come here with no crackers.” One of the officers then tried to open the camper door as Mosby held it closed. She was commanded to get out before an officer reached in and grabbed her left wrist to pull her out, the report said.

While being handcuffed, Mosby asked her roommate to go inside the camper and grab her purse. She did so and handed it over to an officer to be searched so it could be taken to jail with Mosby. Inside sat a clear cellophane bag with 0.31 grams of marijuana, the report said.

A subsequent criminal history check revealed Mosby had three prior battery convictions.

Mosby was charged with battery (second or subsequent offense), possession of marijuana and drug equipment (possess or use). She was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center without bond.

She has been arrested several times before, including in Dec. 2025 during a violent visit with her daughter, in Jan. 2024 for threatening to kill family members, in April 2021 after a disturbance at a Wildwood hotel, and in Aug. 2019 for using a lamp to attack her host.
