Woman arrested after allegedly using lamp to attack man who had been her host

Tyneisha Lakitie Mosby

A Wildwood woman was arrested after allegedly using a lamp to attack a man who had been her host.

The man had allowed 29-year-old Tyneisha Lakitie Mosby to spend the night at his home, but the next day asked her to leave, according to an arrest report from the Wildwood Police Department. The man, acting on the advice of his landlord, placed her belongings on the front porch and left the residence.

When he returned on Thursday evening, Mosby attacked him with the base of a lamp. She hit him “all over his body, including his face, arms and back,” the report said. She grabbed the front of his shirt and pushed him to the ground before grabbing her belongings and fleeing.

An anonymous source tipped off police on Saturday, letting them know Mosby was hiding in a storage shed in the area of Jackson Street. She was taken into custody without incident.

She was arrested on a felony charge of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. She was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center on $2,500 bond.
