Bedspa LLC purchased the property at 2253 Parr Drive from Skehan Investments on April 6 for $2,650,000, according to a deed filed with the Sumter County Clerk of Courts.

Currently, the building houses two businesses: The Sleep Center and Spa & Patio Center.

State corporate records show that Bedspa LLC is owned by Brent Spaulding and Steve Binegar. Spaulding is the owner and operator of The Sleep Center in Gainesville and Binegar has decades of experience in law enforcement.

Sumter County property records show that Skehan Investments LLC purchased the property from Yoder Investments LLC in 2015 for $2,000,000.

The sale of the site marks yet another commercial property in The Villages that has changed hands this year.

In March, a property in Bushnell that features a recently opened Wawa was sold for $2.585 million, an assisted living facility was sold for $9.475 million to a healthcare real estate investment firm, a prominent local restaurateur family purchased a warehouse just outside of The Villages for $2.45 million, and a New York-based investment group acquired over 44 acres near The Villages for $5.49 million.

In February, a San Francisco-based real estate investment firm acquired an apartment complex next to The Villages for $8.65 million, and Blackstone purchased a 10.94-acre parcel across from Brownwood for $4.5 million.
