What’s going on with the water in The Villages?

To the Editor:

I have the same issue with my filter turning brown after two weeks. I had the same system in the Florida Keys and never had this issue. The water company in The Villages told me that my filter is too fine. The neighbor across the street has the same system and his filter stays white for months. They come and flush the hydrants but it doesn’t help. One time the water in our cul de sac was flushed in the planted island and it helped.
