A Summerfield woman was arrested for driving with an invalid license after being stopped at Walmart at Buffalo Ridge Plaza in The Villages.
A deputy was pulling into Wawa, located at 1170 U.S. 301, Oxford, when he spotted a white Nissan passenger car around 10:35 a.m. Sunday, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. A check of the tag determined the registered owner, 64-year-old Donna Darlene Doxtater, had an invalid license, and there was an order to seize the tag.

The vehicle quickly pulled out of the parking lot and made a right turn into the left turning lane on North U.S. 301. It proceeded to County Road 466, with the deputy following. After turning on his emergency lights, the vehicle pulled into the Walmart at Buffalo Ridge Plaza parking lot, the report said.
Doxtater was subsequently arrested for driving while license suspended or revoked. She was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center and released after posting $500 bond.
The New York native was arrested earlier this year in April after telling a cop she could not afford insurance when she was stopped for speeding.
