A Villager who has been arrested four times this year is free again after being released from jail last week.
An attorney for 62-year-old David Kimmel successfully convinced a judge to sentence his client to 20 days in jail after his latest arrest on a charge of disorderly intoxication after harassing shoppers at a Winn-Dixie supermarket in The Villages. With “good time” Kimmel had earned behind bars, he was able to walk out of jail on Aug. 18. He will have to pay a $1,000 incarceration fee, according to court records.
At the time of his arrest at Winn-Dixie, the Maryland native had been free on bond following a pair of arrests in connection with a disturbance at a Villages hotel. The bond in that pair of arrests was revoked.
His trouble with local law enforcement began in May when he was arrested after showing up at the swimming pool at Orange Blossom Hills Country Club. He had been previously banned from that pool.
