KFC/Taco Bell employee to appear in court after allegedly stealing $81 from teenage co-worker’s purse

A 30-year-old woman who works at KFC/Taco Bell on Bichara Boulevard in The Villages will have to appear in court after allegedly stealing $81 from a co-worker’s purse.

An employee was preparing to leave at the end of her shift on Sunday and discovered that the money was missing from her purse, according to an incident report from the Lady Lake Police Department. The employee immediately notified her manager and they reviewed video surveillance which showed Angelica Haynes taking the money from the 16-year-old employee’s purse, according to the report.

When questioned by police, Haynes said she needed the money to buy Pull-ups for her son. She was issued a notice to appear in Lake County County on June 6.
