Margaret ‘Maggie’ McGroarty Strassel

Margaret McGroarty Strassel (Maggie), passed away on January 15, 2015 with Jack, her husband of 52 years and her sister Kathy by her side. She was born in Queens, New York on August 27, 1939. Maggie was both a good student and a fine athlete. She graduated from Garden City High School in 1957 and Bucknell University in 1961. She had a passion for golf, shirts and purses. Maggie had many friends from all over the country and she will be sorely missed by all. She is survived by her husband Jack and her 2 children, John Strassel, III , (wife Whitney) of Cumming, GA and Betsy Lockwood (husband Steve) of Canton, GA; 4 grandchildren, Charlotte, Kendal, Andy and Caroline; 2 sisters Eileen Parks of San Jose, CA. and Kathy Mabry of The Villages, FL. A Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, January 21st at 10:30 a.m., St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church, Wildwood, Fl.
