A Summerfield woman and her Ocala cohort were arrested after she was stopped with fentanyl, and he was without a license.
An officer on patrol observed the occupants of a silver Toyota passenger car, 48-year-old Stacy Lynn Steady and 36-year-old Emmitt Randal Gore, approaching the exit of the Lady Lake Commons Plaza around 9 p.m. Wednesday, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department.

As the vehicle drove up to the stop sign, it continued to slow roll but did not completely stop. The officer got behind the vehicle, at which time it abruptly stopped on Fennell Boulevard near County Road 25. Gore then got out of the vehicle and started pushing items into the car from an oen door on the rear driver’s side, the report said.
The officer proceeded to get out of his own vehicle, seeing Steady moving her arms toward the back of the driver’s seat. A K-9 unit subsequently arrived on scene and positively alerted to the odor of narcotics. Both occupants were then removed from the vehicle, making Steady extremely nervous, the report said.
She asked what was going on as the officers started to search the vehicle. They located a yellow prescription bottle with a white plastic baggie of fentanyl leaning on the driver’s seat from the center console, exactly where Steady had been reaching before being stopped by law enforcement. There were also bags stacked in the backseat, the report said.
This vehicle was related to a previous call for service where a wallet was stolen from a victim at a retail store. Officers looked inside the vehicle during this call to see if the purse, which was stolen, was in the car, and the pill bottle was not on the center console at the time. Officers watched the vehicle as Steady got in and out four times before Gore got in with her to leave the area, the report said.
Additionally, Gore admitted he did not have his license on him, and it was possibly suspended. A check of his driving history determined his license had been revoked as of July 25, 2024, for five years for being a habitual traffic violator, the report said.
Steady was arrested on charge of possession of fentanyl, and Gore was arrested on charge of driving while license revoked (habitual). Both were booked at Lake County Jail and released after posting their respective $2,500 bonds.
She has a long arrest history, with the most recent being in March 2025 for streaking through an open field to evade law enforcement. She was charged in Aug. 2024 for shoplifting from Walmart and in Feb. 2024 for shoplifting from Best Buy. She was also arrested for shoplifting from Home Depot in Aug. 2023.
Her earlier arrests include shoplifting at Walmart in Oct. 2022, refusing to identify herself at Wawa in July 2021, and going berserk over her gal pal in Sept. 2020.
