Dorothy J. (Konopka) Williamson

Dorothy J. (Konopka) Williamson, 82, The Villages, FL died Tuesday, May 19, 2015. Mrs. Williamson was born in Jersey City, NJ and retired to West Virginia prior to moving to Florida. Dorothy was a school secretary until her beloved husband’s and her retirement in 1984. Walter, Sr. passed away in 2003. Dorothy attended St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church, belonged to the St. Mark Ladies Guild, the West Virginia Club, and was Queen of the Ivystone Scarlet Ladies group. Mrs. Williamson was an avid reader and also enjoyed golf, playing cards, mahjong, shopping, and visiting her children. Dorothy is survived by son Walt Jr., daughter-in-law Sherry, grandson Beckett of Bridgewater VA; daughter, Donna Hrenchir, son-in-law Larry, grandson Joseph of Leavenworth, KS; and countless dear friends. A funeral mass will be held at St. Mark’s at 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 28, 2015. Burial will be at a later date at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell.
