Emergency responders called to Morse Boulevard bridge

Emergency responders were called Sunday afternoon to the Morse Boulevard bridge after a car blew a tire.

The accident occurred at about 4 p.m. as rain was falling and the pavement was wet. After the car’s tire blew out, the vehicle struck the concrete barrier separating Morse Boulevard from the multi-modal path.

Reportedly, no one was injured.

The Sumter County  Sheriff’s Office, the Villages Public Safety Department and Community Watch all responded to the scene.
