Harlan Insurance takes over first place in CFL

Harlan held on in a close contest to overtake Perkins for first place. Woody Wood and Charles Clare (2 RBI’s) led the win with 4 hits each. In addition, Tom Ceglie (3 RBI’s), Al DuBuc, Tim Healy, sponsor Bruce Harlan and sub pitcher John Ashby all added 3 hits. Perkins got 3 hits from Jim Morton and Rick Stenson (2 RBI’s) while 7 other players had 2 hits each.

 

SOFTBALL’S-R-GAME 19  ARDEN JEWELER’S 15

SRG scored the last 7 runs in this game to secure the win. They were led by Bill Nisbet’s 4 hits and 2 RBI’s while Bob DePace (4 RBI’s), Pat Perkins (4 RBI’s), pitcher Ed Krisha (2 RBI’s) and manager Ray Pinheiro all added 3 hits. David Blanford, Don Mulneix (2 RBI’s) and Marty Berger (2 RBI’s) all had 3 hits for Arden and Tim Carroll added 4 RBI’s.

 

HUMANA 13  IHOP 12

Humana built a 6 run lead and held off a 7th inning rally for the one run win. John Hoover had the hot bat with 4 hits and 3 RBI’s while Chuck Bowman had 3 hits. Bob Roth (3 RBI’s), Dave Oatley (3 RBI’s) and Tom Ramberg each had 2 hits in the victory. Wayne Mallory’s 4 hits and Dennis Bauch’s 3 hits led IHOP. Six other players had 2 hits each.

 

BABIARZ LAW 12  SYNERGY WEALTH 5

Synergy scored in only one inning in the loss. Babiarz got 3 hits each from Vince Pezzulo, Chuck Mays and manager Bob Winder. Pitcher Jim Moyer helped his own cause with 3 RBI’s. Synergy got 3 hits from Skeeter Aikey and 2 RBI’s from Mark Rich.

 

MULBERRY INTEGRATED MEDICINE 17  3AMIGOS PRO SHOP 6

Mulberry outscored 3Amigos 13-0 in the middle innings to secure this win. Pete Glowacki led the way with 4 hits while Ed Haith (2 RBI’s) and Tom Bortle added 3 hits each. Paul Justice contributed 2 hits and 5 RBI’s. Dave Hinkley had 3 hits for 3Amigos while Jim Faggiana had 2 hits and 3 RBI’s. Three other players helped with 2 hits each.

Fross outscored Paul Davis 11-3 in the middle innings for this victory. Jack Manter, Jim Harrison and Ed Chirumbolo (3 RBI’s) led the winners with 3 hits each. PDR got 3 hits from Lew Burhans (2 RBI’s) and 2 more from both Gary DePalma and Vic Stevens.

Any person desiring to be in the Winter draft can get an application at the field on Tuesday morning or at any time in the lobby of the Saddlebrook Recreation Center.
