Laughs never stop in ‘Snatched’

Amy Schumer is the top comedienne of our times. When I laughed out loud while seeing her current movie, “Snatched,” it has to be really funny. When she teams up with Goldie Hawn as her mother, it is just frosting on an Angel Food cake.

Schumer (Emily Middleton) has purchased a South American vacation for her and her boyfriend. Her beau unceremoniously dumps her and she is stuck with two non-refundable tickets.  She talks her mother into a trip of a lifetime.

Getting kidnaped is just one of the adventures the pair endures. Schumer, who co-wrote the show is not only sharp with her lines, but also physically accents everything with a comic flair.

The 71-year-old Goldie Hawn has come a long way from the quintessential go-go dancer and top performer on “Laugh In” in the late ‘60’s.  She can still dance up a storm.  Note her performing in the background with the closing credits.

“Snatched” has adult language and Schumer has no reluctance exposing her right breast.  Maybe she’s saving the left one for her next movie.

Regardless, the movie is a lot of fun and receives an A grade plus a must see recommendation.  It is currently playing at The Rialto and Barnstorm Theaters in The Villages.
