Misguided motorists winding up on Villages’ multi-modal paths

The 42 miles of multi-modal path are meant to be shared by golf carts, bicyclists, walkers, joggers, rollerbladers and others. Automobiles are supposed to stay off the multi-modal paths.

But on the afternoon of New Year’s Day, a misguided motorist wound up on the multi-modal path along Pinellas Place near that gate to the Village of Gilchrist.

This past Sunday, another incident in which an automobile errantly veered onto the golf cart path at Brownwood, didn’t end so well.

Two women from West Babylon, N.Y. were transported by ambulance to Leesburg Regional Medical Center after the accident on West Torch Lake Drive. You can read more about that accident HERE.
