Sex offender convicted of burglary moves into the Village of Glenbrook

A 34-year-old sex offender who has also been convicted of burglary has moved into a home in the Village of Glenbrook.

William Arthur Wiker has registered an address of 1389 Oak Forest Drive with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.

He was convicted in 2002 and 2004 on charges of sexual battery in Alachua County. In 2013, he was also convicted of failure to comply with sex offender registration requirements in Alachua County.

In 2008, he was convicted of felony driving while license suspended and fleeing a law enforcement officer in Columbia County. In 2001, also in Alachua County, he was convicted of burglary and grand theft.

He has done three stints in state prison, most recently released on May 20, 2014. He had been living in Alachua County before his Nov. 7 move to The Villages.
