John “Jack” Vincent Kraus, 73, of The Villages, FL, passed away, Sunday, December 4, 2016. He was born on April 7, 1943 in The Bronx, NY to John and Helen Kraus. Jack spent 30 years in the retail automotive business in sales and management. He also worked in the banking end of the automotive business. His stellar reputation followed him in each endeavor he chose. During retirement he loved a good game of golf, the New York Giants and the company of his friends and family. Jack loved living and playing in The Villages Community. It provided both a connection to his past and also enjoyed the new friends he found here in The Villages. He enjoyed going to the town squares and listening to music and even danced to a song or two. His favorite music was Doo Wop and his favorite sandwich was peanut butter and jelly. He was always ready for an adventure… looking for a boat, a new house, a trip, a convertible, a new anything. He had a zest for fun and would sometimes push the limits. He loved telling everyone that there are only two things with “The” in front of it: The BRONX and The VATICAN. He truly had an affinity for all things New York- even The Yankees. No deer in Bucks County was safe from the Kraus mobile. We are sure he held the World Record for deer kills and never touched a gun. If you were his friend, you were always his friend. He was infinitely loyal and infinitely determined to keep his word. He was a very good man. He was a Catholic by faith. Jack is survived by his wife, Alene; son, William Kraus of Reading, PA; daughter, Jamie Rongione of Blue Bell, PA; brother, Joseph Kraus of Ronkonkoma, NY; and his grandchildren, John, Ava, and Joey.
