Weekend golf cart accidents prompt reminder about safety

With two golf cart accidents over the weekend and snowbird season in full swing, it might be a good time to review golf cart safety.

Over the past three months, the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office issued 52 golf cart citations. You can read about that at:

32 golf cart operators ticketed for running stop signs

Copies of the Golf Cart Rules of the Road and Safety Tips are available for download. 

For additional copies of the attached brochure, you can visit your local recreation center or the Customer Service Center located at 3201 Wedgewood Lane.
