Apartment buildings could ruin our investment in The Villages

To the Editor:

We moved from our other senior place because of apartment buildings that surrounded it and became unkept and became inhabited with people that required overhead helicopters.
The Villages is a well-recognized and well-respected community. It was very quick how it happened at the other place. And that place turned into a ghost town. What guarantee is there that these buildings will be kept up to the standards of The Villages?
That was what we were sold and everything else would be a breach of contract. Bringing problems into The Villages is the same as taking advantage of senior citizens. I would like to think that you have not joined this camp. This is our investment based on what you told us. We will not turn around and take a loss so you can line your pockets with something we were told would not exist here. Would you do this to your mother and father?
