Lorene Phyllis Gnaedinger, 83 of the Villages, FL, passed away on Friday, March 4, 2016 after a battle with cancer. She was the loving wife of Richard Gnardinger for 39 years. Lorene was born and raised (on farm) in Kansa, the daughter of Matt and Mary Robl. Lorene was an educator and administrator for Catholic schools in California, Colorado, Kansa and Missouri. She held a Master’s degree in Elementary Education and Special Education. After retiring, Lorene and Richard moved from Jefferson City, MO to The Villages, FL in 1993. She was very active in St. Timothy Catholic Church serving on the building committee and being the Church’s first Pastoral Council President. Lorene participated in numerous church activities like bazaars, was vice president of women’s guild, and vice president of helping hands. She was also an active member of The Villages Handicapped Club. After moving to Freedom Pointe six years ago, Lorene was very active there as well. Lorene and Richard liked traveling and have visited many parts of the world.
Survived by her husband Richard of 39 years, brother; Richard, sisters; Patricia and Polly and 13 nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 10, 2016 from 3 – 5 p.m. at Beyers Funeral Home Chapel, Lady Lake, FL. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Timothy Catholic Church, Lady Lake, FL on Friday, March 11, 2016 at 8:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL at 11:30 a.m. In Lieu of Flowers, donations can be made to St. Vincent de Paul food pantry at St. Timothy Catholic Church, 1351 Paige Place, Lady Lake, FL 32159.
