A convicted sex offender/armed robber who last fall moved in with his parents in The Villages, has landed back behind bars.
Jonathan David Pentz, 40, was booked Wednesday night at the Sumter County Detention Center on three probation violations. He is being held without bond.
This past October, he moved into his parents’ home in the Village of Winifred following his release from a Michigan prison.
He was convicted in 2000 of a sex offense involving a minor between the ages of 13 and 15 in Oakland, Mich. He was also convicted of carrying a concealed weapon in 2000. In addition, he was convicted in 2005 of the armed robberies of gas stations and a Radio Shack in Canton, Wayne and Westland, Mich.
Last month, he notified the Florida Department of Law Enforcement he had moved out of his parents’ home on Sherwood Street and had moved to 4458A County Road 472 in Oxford.
