DAR members from The Villages join in effort to place flags at Florida National Cemetery

Members of The Villages Puc Puggy Chapter, NSDAR ventured to Florida National Cemetery on Sunday to place Flags for Fallen Veterans on gravestones.

Making the trip were Sue Philpott of Wildwood, Linda Marcotte of the Village of Charlotte, Sue Spetz of the Village of Pennecamp, Regent Sallie Kautz of the Village of Glenbrook, Elaine Beckler of the Village of Tall Trees and Sherrie Marks of the Village of Belle Aire.

The annual volunteer effort places more than 100,000 flags at the cemetery in honor of Memorial Day.
