A man driving a golf cart was arrested with methamphetamine and Oxycodone after a traffic stop Tuesday afternoon on Avenida Central in The Villages.
Chad Everett Partridge, 35, had been driving a golf cart at 2:20 p.m. at Avenida Central and Oak Meadows Lane when a police officer noticed the golf cart’s brake lights were not functioning, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department.
Partridge gave permission to search the vehicle. A witness told police that Partridge had slipped something into his sock, the report indicated. A search of the sock turned up methamphetamine and Oxycodone.
It was also determined that Partridge was driving on a suspended license.
He was arrested on charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of Oxycodone and driving while license suspended. He was booked on $4,500 bond at the Lake County Jail.
