A 32-year-old Summerfield man was arrested Monday night at Buck & Doe’s convenience store on County Road 42 in Marion County.
A Marion County sheriff’s deputy had stopped at the store to purchase items when he spotted Daniel Joseph Coop, who was known to be wanted on Sumter County warrants charging him with violating his probation on charges of burglary and criminal mischief.
Two deputies approached Coop to place him under arrest, but he fled. Ultimately, he knocked over a food display as deputies tried to take him into custody.
He was booked at the Marion County Jail.
