MULBERRY 21 HUMANA 6
Mulberry overwhelmed Humana with 21 runs for an easy victory to remain undefeated. Acting manager Ralph Furbush led the win with 4 hits and Dean Hooker added a solo home run. John Buchanan and Bob Buchanan both added 3 hits for Mulberry. Lew Burhans(2 RBI’s) and Dale Moses both had 2 hits for Humana in a losing cause.
IHOP 15 HARLAN 13 – In 8 innings
Harlan scored 3 runs in the bottom of the 7th inning to tie the game but IHOP came back with 2 runs in the 8th on RBI hits from Denis Hodge and Bill Reed to pull out the win. Bill Reed led the win with 4 hits and 5 RBI’s, including a 2 run homer. Wayne Mallory had a single, double, triple and 3 RBI’s while Ken Atkinson chipped in with 3 hits. Kirby Campanella, Jack Nagle and Chuck Alexander(3 RBI’s) all had 3 hits for Harlan. One of Chuck’s hits was a home run.
FROSS & FROSS 16 ARDEN 15
Arden scored 5 runs in the 7th inning but Fross came back in the bottom of the 7th with 5 runs of their own to grab the win on Al DuBuc’s walk off single. They were led by Al Mahar’s 4 hits and 3 RBI’s. Manager Al Deibler(3 RBI’s), Rich Pitts, Dick Petula and Mike Labetti all added 3 hits for Fross. Arden was led by Ed Haith(2 RBI’s), Chick Cicatelli and manager Jim Allison(4 RBI’s) who all had 4 hits. Marty berger(4 RBI’s) and Jim Morton both added 3 hits in the loss.
