Willis R. Parker Jr.

Willis R. Parker, Jr., 73, of Summerfield, FL, passed away on Friday, October 28, 2016 in his home. He was the husband of Patricia Parker for 37 years.

Born in Portsmouth, VA, he was a son of the late Willis R. and Dorothy Parker. He graduated from Churchland High School Class of 1962 and attended Virginia Tech College. Willis was a veteran of the US Army serving during the Vietnam War. After his time in the Army he worked for Mervis Uniforms, Portsmouth, VA. He moved to Washington, DC in 1990 as the manager of Nick Bloom Uniforms retiring in 2002 and moving to Florida. He was active coaching youth baseball and basketball. He refereed volleyball and umpired baseball both in Virginia and Florida.

Willis will be deeply missed by his wife, Patricia and son Chad Parker of NC and step-sons, William Lutz, Virginia Beach, VA and Matthew Lutz of Carrollton, VA and step-daughter Barbara Chuidian of Katy, TX. He has 9 grandchildren. He is also survived by brothers, Phillip and Larry Parker.

Willis will be laid to rest in Virginia.
