Speeding teen’s vehicle seized and towed from RaceTrac

A speeding teen driver’s vehicle was seized and towed from RaceTrac in Lady Lake.

The green 2000 Chrysler Cirrus four-door at about 8:30 a.m. May 31 was traveling 57 miles per hour in a 45 mph zone on County Road 25 in Lady Lake, initiating a traffic stop at RaceTrac on U.S. Hwy. 27/441, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department.

The driver was identified as 19-year-old Brandon Eldon Leming of Leesburg and a check revealed his driver’s license had been suspended in April. Leming claimed he was not aware his license was suspended and said he had not received anything in the mail, the report said.

Leming was cited for driving with a suspended license. He was given a verbal warning for speeding. His license plate was seized and his vehicle was impounded. His vehicle was towed from the scene by Kling Towing.
