William Perry

William T. Perry passed peacefully as he wished at his home in The Villages on November 1, 2020 at the age of 89.

He is survived by his loving wife and life partner of 67 years, Joan Perry, and their sons – Rev. Robert Perry of The Villages and Thomas Perry of Spring Hill, TN. They together loved four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Bill Perry will be remembered as a kind, compassionate, and humble man who devoted himself to his family and Church. He served as an Elder for Churches of Christ in Indiana and Tennessee while working in higher education administration. In retirement he managed campgrounds for the Cradle of Forestry. An Alabama native, following service in the Navy in the Korean War he graduated from the University of Alabama and cheered for the Crimson Tide all his life. The family wishes to thank Hospice of Marion County for their special care and suggests memorial donations to them in lieu of flowers.

A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
