Prudence V. Lajoie Bronicki 91, of Summerfield, FL, passed from this life Thursday, April 6, 2017 in her Florida home surrounded by her loving family. Born on Feb. 20, 1926 and raised in Somersworth, NH, she was the daughter of the late Euclide and Eva (Perrault) Nadeau.

Prudence was a proud owner of Prudy’s Missy shop in Somersworth, NH. Family and friends were her passion and delight. She spent summers on Lovell Lake in Sanbornville, NH. As a fun loving mother, grandmother and friend, she often hosted many gatherings that created unforgettable memories for all. Her favorite expression when meeting others was “just call me Prue”. She was also an avid Patriot’s fan. One of her fondest memories was attending a game at Gillette Stadium.

Besides her parents and several siblings she was predeceased by her first husband, George A. Lajoie in 1992, her daughter, Vivian Prudence Janis in 2012 and her second husband Michael Bronicki in 2003. She leaves her children, David Lajoie and his wife, Jennifer, of East Wakefield, NH; Diana Finan and her husband, Sean, of North Hampton, NH; Darryl Lajoie and his wife, LeeAnn of Somersworth, NH and several grandchildren and great grandchildren, all of whom she loved dearly. She also leaves behind two sisters, Solange Turgeon of Somersworth, NH; and Estelle Lauze of Berwick, ME.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 19 at St. Ignatius of Loyola Parish, Holy Trinity Church, High St. Somersworth, NH, followed by burial at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Somersworth, New Hampshire.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Marion County Florida. (www.hospiceofmarion.com)
