3. Villages keeps growing and growing and growing

Many were scratching their heads when The Villages began the construction of the Village of Fenney, way south and not connected to the rest of Florida’s Friendliest Hometown.

But when The Villages unveiled the Villages of Southern Oaks, the pieces of the puzzle began to fall into place.

The Villages of Southern Oaks could be home to more than 25,000 new Villages residences.

However, an even bigger surprise was The Villages decision to explore the purchase of nearly 2,000 acres of land in Leesburg for nearly $12 million.

There appears to be no end in sight when it comes to growth in The Villages.
