Danny Wright, 69, of The Villages, FL, passed away Sunday, July 15, 2018 after a courageous battle against cancer.

Danny and his wife JoAnn moved to The Villages in 2005 from Duluth, Minnesota for their last great adventure. Danny and JoAnn travelled extensively throughout the U.S., Canada and Mexico. He was a wonderful husband and father; home and family was the center of his heart. Danny was generous and fiercely loyal to his family and friends.

Danny retired from the U.S. Postal Service in 2004. He loved hunting, fishing, coaching hockey, playing golf, and was also very active in two softball leagues in The Villages.

He is survived by his children Melissa (Rick) Anderson, and Chris Wright; grandchildren Ethan, Megan, Devin, and Zahra Anderson; great-granddaughter Natylee Anderson; brother Michael (Jeanne) Wright; sisters Kelly Altman, and Kim Sajec; brother-in-law Roger Monnier; sister-in-law Doreen (Jack) Eagleton; numerous nieces and nephews and special friends. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife JoAnn; parents LeRoy and Zoe Wright; and siblings Patrick, Kerry, Troy, Joey, and Cara Monnier.

Recitation of rosary will occur Monday, July 23, 2018 at 2:30 p.m. with a memorial service immediately following at 3 p.m. at Hiers-Baxley Funeral & Cremation Life Event Center, 3975 Wedgewood Lane, The Villages, FL 32162.
