Kenneth Charles Shepard

Ken Shepard, 83, of Water Oak Country Estates, Lady Lake, FL, passed away 01/18/2019 after a long battle with leukemia. He was born in Petoskey, Michigan 09/05/1935 to Charles David Shepard & Alice Audrey Hayner.

He graduated from East Jordan High School and received a BS degree from Michigan State University in 1957.

On 04/18/1959, he married Betty Jane Russell in Fowlerville, Michigan. They moved to Traverse City, Michigan to be near his family.

He was a salesman for Cherry Growers, then in 1969 he became a State Farm Insurance Agent in Traverse City, Michigan. He retired in 1998. He thoroughly enjoyed playing cards, golf, reading, and working in the yard.

He is survived by his wife, Betty of 59 years, his sons David Charles Shepard, Keith Alan Shepard (Kimberly Welsh) & daughter Susan Jane Shepard.

A memorial service celebrating his life will be held at a later date.
