Benvenuto Americans of Italian Heritage’s bocce tourney raises money for Cornerstone Hospice

Members of the Benvenuto Americans of Italian Heritage made a sizable donation to a local charity on Tuesday night.

Members of Benvenuto Americans of Italian Heritage made a $5,000 donation to the Cornerstone Hospice Foundation on Tuesday night. The group donated $5,000 to the Cornerstone Hospice Foundation during a dinner meeting Tuesday night. The money was raised during the group’s recent bocce tournament.

Desiree Coleman-Cohrn, Cornerstone’s director of legacy planning and major gifts, accepted the donation. She also explained the club’s members that the funds would go toward the project to build another Villages Hospice House. Construction is under way on the new building, which is located adjacent to the current facility. Coleman-Cohrn also provided a thorough update on the project.
