Summerfield man arrested after spotted leaving Wal-Mart parking lot

A 42-year-old Summerfield man was arrested after he was spotted in his pickup truck leaving the parking lot of the Wal-Mart at Buffalo Ridge shopping plaza in The Villages.
A Sumter County sheriff’s deputy spotted Wayne Kenneth Betsch leaving the parking lot at 3:08 a.m. Monday, according to an arrest report.
A check showed that Betsch’s license had been suspended for failure to pay fines. The check further revealed that Betsch had been previously convicted of driving while license suspended in 1996 and 2002.

He was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center on $2,000 bond.
