Trio of suspects sought in early morning robbery at Hampton Inn

Three suspects are being sought in connection with an early morning robbery at the Hampton Inn & Suites in The Villages.

At approximately 3:30 a.m. Monday the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office responded to a robbery that occurred at the hotel located off County Road 466 near Laurel Manor Recreation Center.

The front-desk clerk said that two black males and one black female forced her into the office taking an undisclosed amount of money and a personal item.

Detectives are actively investigating this case.
