Village of Hillsborough woman sentenced in drunk driving case

A 67-year-old Village of Hillsborough woman has been sentenced to one year’s probation in connection with a Sept. 25 drunk driving arrest.

Leslie Kalin Davidson who lives on Aber Lane entered a plea of no contest Tuesday in Sumter County Court to a charge of driving under the influence.

Her driver’s license will be revoked for six months and she has been ordered to perform 70 hours of community service. She was also assessed $2,709.28 in court costs. In addition, she was fined $166 on a charge of open container.

She was arrested after her vehicle was spotted in a ditch. A 16-ounce Yuengling beer was found in the vehicle’s cup holder. She failed field sobriety tests and provided breath samples that registered .179 and .182 blood alcohol content.
