Climate change controversy to take center stage at meeting Monday evening

A former NASA consultant will take on the topic of climate change at 6:30 p.m. Monday at American Legion Post 347 at a meeting of the Tri-County Tea Party Florida.
John Casey, a former White House space program advisor, NASA consultant and Space Shuttle engineer, will take on the controversial topic of global warming.
The topic of climate change made headlines in the Florida governor’s race this week.
Five scientists met with Gov. Rick Scott and had 30 minutes to make a presentation on the topic.
The scientists said that Florida is one of the most vulnerable places in the world to rising sea levels and as such is in a position to be a world leader in preparing for it as well as seeking solutions to global warming through clean energy and reduced carbon emissions.
