Village of Mira Mesa couple celebrates anniversary way out west

Village of Mira Mesa residents Bonnie Oliver Kusky and Carl Kusky returned recently from an extended trip through the southwestern United States to visit with their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Starting in San Diego They met a brand new great grandson, Gavin Curtis Owens in San Clemente.  The traveled on to Atascadero, Calif. to visit the Hasch family.  Continuing to Anderson, Calif. they visited the Baker family. Their trip culminated with a family celebration of their 10th wedding anniversary, Carl’s 75th birthday and Bonnie’s 80th birthday in Saint George, Utah. The celebration included a family dinner with special remembrances by their children of Bonnie and Carl’s lives.  While in Saint George they visited Bryce Canyon and Zion National Parks. They managed to get out of Las Vegas just before the floods there.
