Man arrested at Wal-Mart after allegedly attempting to steal headset, Beef-A-Roni

A man was arrested on a felony charge of petit theft after he allegedly attempted to steal a Logitech headset and a can of Beef-A-Roni on Thursday at Wal-Mart in Summerfield.

Donald Goring was found in his car in the store’s parking lot with the merchandise, according to an arrest report from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.    

A check of his criminal history revealed that he had been arrested on theft charges on March 31, 2015, on June 25, 2015 and May 5 of this year. Due to his previous history, Thursday’s charge was elevated to a felony.

Goring was booked at the Marion County Jail.
