Richard Curtis Bresser

Richard Curtis Bresser, 77, The Villages, Florida, passed away on October 5, 2017 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Bresser was born on January 28, 1940 in Grosse Point Farm, Michigan to his parents Curtis and Rhea Bresser.

Mr. Bresser had retired from the U.S. Army as a Lieutenant Colonel working in Logistics as a Quartermaster with over 23 years of service. He had served two tours in Vietnam and was awarded the Bronze Star for Meritorious Service in combat.

He and his loving wife Mary moved to The Villages in 2013 from Reston, Virginia and were members of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Wildwood. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Wildwood. He and his wife volunteered at the Food Bank and Wildwood Library.

He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years: Mary Bresser of The Villages, FL; a son: Curtis J. Bresser of Orlando, FL; two daughters: Kimberly J. (Steve) Klinger of Fishers, IN and Heather K. (Fred) Briggs of Upperville, VA; a brother: Russell Bresser of Michigan; four sisters: Beverly Behrens of Michigan, Maryann Still of Michigan, Linda McCarthy of Pennsylvania and Susan Bresser of South Carolina; three grandchildren: Aiden Briggs, Sean Klinger and Nicole Klinger.

A Mass of Resurrection will be held on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at 10 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Wildwood, Florida.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to Cornerstone Hospice at 2445 Lane Park Road Tavares, FL 32778 in Richards loving memory.
