14 students escape injury after school bus rear-ended in Marion County

Fourteen students escaped injury after a school bus was rear-ended Tuesday morning in Marion County.

The school bus, driven by 44-year-old Ronyatta Frazier of Ocala, had been stopped at 8:25 a.m. at the intersection of State Road 328 and U.S. Hwy. 441, according to an accident report from the Florida Highway Patrol.

The bus was rear-ended by a Ford Taurus driven by 40-year-old Eric Leischen of Ocala. The Taurus’ front end was lodged under the rear end of the bus, causing a temporary road blockage.

There were no injuries.

Leischen was cited on a charge of careless driving.
