Pair arrested after complaints of drug dealing at Dollar General in Lady Lake

Kevin Cornelius
Cierra Rollins

Two suspects were arrested with an assortment of drugs Monday night at Dollar General in Lady Lake. There have been complaints about drug deals taking place in the store’s parking lot.

A white Buick was spotted backed into a parking spot at 8:30 p.m. at the store on U.S. Hwy. 27/441. The car then pulled away and drove to the Sunoco station, also on U.S. Hwy. 27/441, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department. The car was pulled over for a window tint violation.

The driver, 30-year-old Kevin Cornelius of Ocala, was found to be driving on a suspended license. A woman seated in the front seat, 21-year-old Cierra Rollins, also of Ocala, was determined to be the vehicle’s owner and also has a suspended license.

During an inventory of the vehicle, nearly 30 grams of heroin was found in the vehicle’s center console. A backpack contained 10.3 grams of methamphetamine, 2.8 grams of Oxycodone and MDMA, 16.8 grams of marijuana and an 8mg strip of soboxin. A digital scale also was found in the car.

Both were arrested on multiple drug charges and booked at the Lake County Jail. Rollins’ bond was set at $16,750. Cornelius’ bond was set at $18,250.
