Villager’s daughter earns bragging rights with 100-pound hammerhead shark

A Village of Bonnybrook resident took his daughter and grandson fishing recently and during the trip, bragging rights clearly were established.

Julianne Ryberg, whose father, David Lolmaugh, lives in the Village of Bonnybrook, recently caught a 7-foot-long, 100-pound hammerhead shark while fishing in Crystal River. Her son, Aaron Laird, who was vying for bragging rights, caught a fish of his own – but it was too small to measure.

David Lolmaugh said he was joined on Crystal River by daughter Julianne Ryberg and her son, Aaron Laird. He said Ryberg hooked a 7-foot-long, 100-pound Hammerhead shark that put up a hefty fight for 30 minutes.

Meanwhile, Aaron hooked a fish of his own, but it was too small to measure.

“This trip taught my grandson never to challenge his mother,” Lolmaugh said.
