It might have been a snowbird or someone new to The Villages, but the driver of a golf cart was definitely confused Friday as he traveled on a multi-modal path in Florida’s Friendliest Hometown.
The befuddled driver of the light green golf cart ended up on the wrong side of the path where it splits into two lanes alongside Morse Boulevard, not far from the Colony Cottage Recreation Center.
Villager Ed Sullivan, who was driving his golf cart in the correct lane and captured the wrong-way driver on video, was forced to slow down and almost come to a stop as the two carts barely cleared each other. As he passes within inches of Sullivan’s cart, the wayward driver can be seen giving a slight wave to show he realized his error.
