Lady Lake man arrested after brawl with neighbor in trailerhood

Thomas Moss

A Lady Lake man was a arrested after a brawl with a man in their neighborhood of trailers.

Thomas Moss, 39, who lives at 710 Summit St., remains free on $1,000 bond following his arrest on Halloween on a charge of battery.

Law enforcement had been called at about 6 a.m. that morning to a home in the 200 block of Morningside Drive, where a 21-year-old man said he had been attacked by Moss, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department. He showed officers threatening text messages which allegedly had been sent to him by Moss.

The man said he had tried to close the door of his trailer, but Moss began banging on the door. When the man opened the door, Moss began punching him, the report said. A bystander called police.

The Mississippi native was taken into custody and booked at the jail.

Moss had been arrested in August after an alleged attack on his lady friend. In October, the prosecutor’s office announced no information would be filed in this case.
