A 20-year-old Oxford woman was arrested Monday night with freshly purchased marijuana.
Star-Lynn Fagaly had been driving a green Chevy SUV at 10:39 p.m. heading northbound on U.S. 301 when she was pulled over for having a broken taillight, according to an arrest report from the Wildwood Police Department. The officer making the traffic stop detected the strong “aroma of cannabis” coming from inside her vehicle. Fagaly began “trembling uncontrollably” and became “extremely nervous.” She admitted she had a “roach” in the ash tray.
She turned over a bag containing 3.5 grams of marijuana and confessed she bought it less than one hour earlier in Belleview.
Fagaly was arrested on a charge of possession of marijuana and booked at the Sumter County Detention Center. She was released after posting $500 bond.
