The Villages sticks residents with cost of landscaping upkeep

To the Editor:

After 14 years of living here in “The Villages” and having “The Villages” management take care of the back of our houses here on Chesnee Place, “The Villages” management has decided that they are not going to take care of the tree trimming, clipping of the hedges, and the repair and painting of the fence that borders the cemetery. “The Villages” which is a multi-million dollar concern, can’t afford the landscaping and up keep of the fence anymore? But they will take care of the hedges and fence that shows on Stillwater. Furthermore a resident pulled the hedges out and now “The Villages” management wants the resident to replace them. I think this a injustice to the residents on Chesnee Place. We pay amenities fees and I think the fees should cover the maintenance of the above mentioned concerns.
