Contract negotiations to continue this week between The Villages, firefighters union

Union contract negotiations between The Village Center Community Development District and Professional Firefighters of The Villages, IAFF Local 4770 will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday, June 27 at the Lake Miona Recreation Center.
The meeting is open to the public.   

“We are hoping to sign off on several articles that don’t relate to the wages package,” said Eric Williamson, secretary of the IAFF Local 4770.

Last week, the union released a statement about “smoke and mirrors” that have been part of these negotiations.
